About Us
PGVS has established good relationships with people in villages through its different rural development activities, supported by the Government and private Donors. One of the main activities of the organization is promotion of self-help groups.
PGVS has been trying to set up a Farmers’ Clubs in Yavatmal district to counter the problem of farmers’ suicides. It has been trying this since last 3-4 years in 45 villages where they are linking the farmers with irrigation programmes and government schemes.
In Yavatmal district 82% of people are landholders out of which 16 % are women landholders. More than 80% of women who are the counterpart of farmers toil hard in the agriculture farms but are still identified as farm labours rather than women farmers.
Under the women health project 25 women were selected as health workers from ten Trible villages of Ralegaon taluka. They were imparted trainings on women and child health, anemia among women, 100% immunization of children.
Bio Energy Program in the regions of Ralegaon in Yavatmal and Amravati district, as well as six villages in Dharani taluka! Our initiative focuses on sustainable energy solutions and promoting healthy living through organic farming.
