In Yavatmal district 82% of people are landholders out of which 16 % are women landholders. More than 80% of women who are the counterpart of farmers toil hard in the agriculture farms but are still identified as farm labours rather than women farmers. Only males are recognized as the farmers. Our aim is to create an identity of women as farmer so that they can have their own identity as farmer and also avail benefits of government schemes. We are promoting and propagating organic farming as an alternative to chemical farming, conducting training on preparing organic fertilizers, biological sprays and use of traditional seeds in organic farming.
