Welcome to our Bio Energy Program in the regions of Ralegaon in Yavatmal and Amravati district, as well as six villages in Dharani taluka! Our initiative focuses on sustainable energy solutions and promoting healthy living through organic farming. Here's a glimpse into what we've accomplished internally:
We've embarked on a journey to enhance the cooking experience for 460 families in the region. By introducing Improved Cooking Stoves (ICS), we're not just revolutionizing the way meals are prepared but also making significant strides towards environmental conservation. With ICS in place, families can now save up to 20 to 25 percent of wood consumption, leading to a substantial reduction in carbon emissions into the atmosphere. This small change is making a big impact on the sustainability of our environment.
Empowering communities to grow their own food has been a cornerstone of our program. Through the establishment of 370 kitchen gardens, we've enabled 600 families to cultivate their own organic vegetables. This initiative doesn't just promote self-sufficiency but also fosters healthier dietary habits among participants. The yield has been impressive, with over 700 kg of organic vegetables harvested and distributed to families in need.
Beyond the environmental and nutritional advantages, our program has brought about tangible financial benefits. Families participating in our initiative have collectively saved Rs. 28000/- through reduced wood consumption and access to home-grown vegetables. Moreover, the improved nutritional intake from organic produce has contributed to better health outcomes within the community.
Through these endeavors, we're not just addressing immediate needs but also laying the foundation for a sustainable and prosperous future for the residents of Ralegaon, Yavatmal, Amravati, and Dharani. Join us in our mission to create a greener, healthier, and more resilient community. Together, we can make a difference, one stove, one garden, and one family at a time.
